Akanksha Salunkhe

412 Squash Coach

Akanksha Salunkhe joined the 412 Squash Association as a coach in 2022. Originally from Goa, India, Akanksha was introduced to squash at the age of nine and has since gained international recognition for her squash skills.
 

As a junior, Akanksha was part of the women's squash team for India that won gold at the 2016 South Asian Games, and a silver medal at the Asian Team Championships. She also earned a gold in 2015 in the Girls U-19 division at the National School Games in Chennai.
 

Akanksha attended Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut where she was a member of the Women's Squash Team and was co-team captain during her senior year. During her collegiate career, Akanksha was twice named to the CSA All-American Second Team and included on the All-NESCAC First Team. In addition, she won a CSA National Singles Championship Holleran "B" Division Tournament title. Akanksha graduated from Trinity with a B.A. in Human Rights and Political Science.
 

Akanksha is a professional squash player who competes internationally for India and was recently ranked #68 in the world. As a pro, she was the winner of the 2023 Jansher Khan Canberra Open and the 2022 Guatemala Open Squash Tournament.
