Timo Calder
412 Squash Coach
Growing up in Brooklyn as the oldest of four children, Timo played squash at The Heights Casino. Timo's teaching style is much like that of a big brother, keeping things focused but fun. He believes that improvement in skills can only be attained when students love the sport enough to keep coming back.
Timo attended The Saint Ann’s School in Brooklyn, and graduated from Dartmouth College with a B.A. in Asian and Middle Eastern Studies.
Prior to coming to the 412 Squash Association in the Fall of 2023, Timo spent over 10 years as a teacher and squash coach in Asia, most recently at the Hong Kong Football Club. Between 2019 and 2020, he ran a successful pilot program for an urban squash organization in Beijing and Hong Kong.
