Al Alburquerque

Al has been a squash coach at the 412 Squash Association since 2021. In addition to coaching squash at 412, Al coaches both Grades 5/6 and 7/8 squash teams at The Spence School and has given lessons to students of all ages and skill levels. Coach Al was part of the coaching staff for The Spence School when they won the 2025 National Girls Division II High School Team Championship.

 

Prior to joining 412, he was a squash coach at the New York Sports Club. Al has also worked with professional squash players and elite nationally ranked junior players on their tournament training programs.

 

Al has over 30 years as a personal trainer and is currently taking a course through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), which covers performance enhancement, corrective exercise, and sports nutrition. Outside of 412, Al currently trains individuals with an emphasis on exercise physiology, kinesiology, and biomechanics.
