COMPETITIVE SQUASH
DEVELOPMENT & ACADEMY SQUADS
The 412 Squash Junior Development & Academy Squads are intended for students looking for an intensive program with aspirations to achieve competitive success in junior tournaments. The goals of the program are for young players to have fun, work hard, improve their skills and practice good sportsmanship. All Junior Academy programs are led by dedicated coaches and follow structured curriculums focused on skill development, competition readiness, fitness, mindset, and teamwork. The program follows our 412 Squash Junior Squash Pathway to help each and every student reach their full potential in a motivating and supportive environment.
Requirement for Development & Academy Squads
Joining our development or academy squads requires a coach’s invitation or a successful evaluation. All junior competition players may be asked to complete an ability assessment with a 412 Squash coach to determine their ideal placement. Our Junior Development & Academy squads operate on a trimester basis (September–December, January–March, and April–June).
Competitive excellence requires consistency. To master the complexities of squash—from muscle memory to advanced footwork—players need regular, repeated time on court. To better support our students' competitive journeys, we are requiring all academy students to train at least twice weekly.
Option #1 Recommendation: 2 academy clinics per week
Option #2 Recommendation: 1 academy clinic + 1 private lesson per week
