Hannah Nice
412 Squash Coach
Hannah joined 412 Squash as a coach in 2023. She is passionate about both the mental and aerobic aspects of squash: “a game of physical chess”. Hannah's favorite part of coaching squash is seeing how swiftly growth can occur while providing encouragement and guidance. A strong technique is at the core of her approach and she takes pride when her students are able to master complicated shots.
Originally from Hanover, NH, Hannah grew up hiking, skiing, and playing field hockey. In middle school, her sister (a Dartmouth student) introduced her to squash and became instantly hooked. Hannah’s grateful for the support of the former Dartmouth Squash Coach, Hansi Wiens, who led her breakout growth in high school.
During her four years at Vassar College, Hannah played the number one position on the squash team with a 50-9 match record, holding the team record for most wins. She was elected as captain for three of her four years, and was recognized as a seven-time Liberty League Performer of the Week and CSA Scholar Athlete, due to her dedication both on and off the court. During her senior year, Hannah received the Frances D. Fergusson Coaches Award, given annually to one student-athlete personifying the ideals of sportsmanship, leadership, dedication and character over their college career.
Having worked with people across a broad range of ages and skill levels, Hannah is passionate about getting anyone, who is excited about learning, growth, and moving their bodies, onto a squash court.
