Pat Moran
412 Squash Coach
Pat joined the 412 Squash Association as a squash coach in the Spring of 2024.
Having studied abroad in Egypt, England, Switzerland, and the United Arab Emirates, Pat was exposed to many different cultures and sports. Always keen to give everything a go, he competed for his Prep School in England on every sports team (tennis team captain, table tennis, field hockey, rugby, cricket, soccer and swimming) and was selected as a School Prefect and House Sports Captain. Upon returning to the United States for university, Pat competed in college athletics representing the University of Oregon in squash, badminton, table tennis and rugby.
For the past few years in NYC, Pat has worked hard to develop his squash game, captaining the 2022 4.5 NY Singles League Champions and currently plays for the 5.0 Street Squash team. Pat attained a USA Squash Level 2 coaching certification and is a recognized table tennis coach at PingPod. Presently, Pat coaches students of all ages and levels in both sports.
As the USA Racketlon President and National Team Captain, Pat proudly captained the gold medal-winning Challenge Cup team in 2022 and the bronze medal Nations Cup team in 2023. Pat achieved his highest singles Racketlon world rank of #54 (6/1/23) and mixed doubles world rank of #44 (5/1/23).
Pat’s passion for racket sports can be seen through his dedicated efforts as a squash and table tennis coach. Pat closely aligns with Nelson Mandela’s quote: “Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire. It has the power to unite people in a way little else does.”’ Pat wholeheartedly believes that sports have the ability to foster unity and camaraderie.
