412 Squash Coach
Teddy Best joined 412 Squash as a coach in 2022. As a coach, he implements a holistic approach to squash training, striving to attain harmony between the technical, tactical, physical, and psychological aspects of the game. Teddy also emphasizes the importance of play and growth in the athlete’s journey.
Teddy grew up playing squash at The Heights Casino and The Eastern Athletic Club, regularly maintaining a top-15 national ranking as a junior. He went on to play squash at Middlebury College, where he captained the team and played in the #1 position his senior year, along with earning honors to the All-NESCAC Conference Team and the John R. Illig Memorial Award. Additionally while in college, Teddy earned team MVP honors as a freshman and was selected to represent Middlebury at the 2022 College Individual Championship.
While in high school, Teddy began coaching at CitySquash and the Corner Squash Academy, finding a passion in helping others reach their potential. He was Head Coach for Varsity Squash at The Brearley School for the 2022-23 season, leading the team to place 2nd in their conference and 10th in the Division II U.S. High School Team Squash Championships.
